Domino’s Menu Prices (Updated for 2017)

Domino’s Menu

Domino’s menu prices are not the cheapest of all pizza chains. However, if you’re looking for good value for money, high quality pizza and impeccable service, then you can’t go much wrong with Domino’s.

Below you will find the full Domino’s menu, complete with all items and all updated prices. Below this we will go into a little discussion on why you pay that little bit extra, and why it is important not to focus too heavily on price when it comes to choosing a quality pizza.

If the Domino’s menu is a little out of reach, we have included some alternatives below. You can also check in with our Domino’s Coupon page for the latest cash-saving deals, and with our National Pizza Day page to make sure you get your free pizza the next time February 9th rolls around.

Domino’s Prices vs Cheaper Independents

In many countries where you can find a Domino’s, you can also find a host of cheaper “take-out” pizza locations. In the United States, this is not really the case. That’s because there are so many dominant chains, with everyone from Pizza Hut at the top of the market, to Little Caesars and Papa Murphy’s at the other end.

In the United Kingdom, and many other countries, your options are often split between a major brand (with the Domino’s menu and the Pizza Hut menu leading the way for take-out pizza, and Pizza Express getting in on the act on the casual dining front) and a cheaper, independent pizzeria. These pizzerias follow the Domino’s setup in that it’s all about take-out and delivery. However, the prices are considerably cheaper.

There is a reason for this though. A few reasons in fact, and they might surprise you. So, before you opt for a cheaper option, shunning the big chain and assuming they charge more just because they can, you might want to take these into consideration:

Ingredients

Dominos feast

No fake cheese or ham on these pizzas.

Domino’s, Pizza Hut and others make a big deal out of offering “Genuine, Fresh Ingredients”. What more could they possibly use, you ask? And so what if another store uses frozen or tinned toppings. It doesn’t make that much difference, right? Well, it wouldn’t, if that’s what they were using. But they are not.

Many of these “other” restaurants use something known as “Analog Cheese”. It looks and melts like cheese does. And if you use a mix of this cheese and real cheese, customers usually can’t tell the difference. But it’s not real cheese.

The good thing is that it’s not bad for you. The bad thing is that when you’re paying for cheese, you don’t always get it. The same goes for ham, bacon and other popular toppings. They often use cheap, reconstituted meats that don’t taste, smell or look like the real thing.

So, when the big chains make a point of stating that they use “100% Ham” and “100% Real Cheese”, you shouldn’t be so dismissive.

Service

Brands are able to grow and dominate the market because we all know them. We trust them, and we know the menus inside out. They work hard to ensure that they keep their customers happy, and they still rely on word-of-mouth as much as their million-dollar ad campaigns. If you have an issue, there’s a good chance you’ll get a sincere apology and some free food. If there is a delay or a mistake, they’ll treat it like it is the end of the world.

This is customer satisfaction, but it doesn’t always exist in cheaper stores. These stores are fleeting, rarely lasting for the long-term and often changing names, owners and cooks many times in the course of a few years. They have smaller margins because of their smaller prices, and they are often run by the owners. As a result, they don’t have a big boss to please and can be a little less focused on customer service.

Cleanliness:

The big chains always follow strict guidelines when it comes to cleanliness. There have been issues in the past, and Taco Bell and Chipotle are notorious for this. But when you have so many stores and so many workers, a few will inevitably slip through the new. At Domino’s, issues are rare, and the same goes for the other high-end pizza chains.

The independent stores are less focused on cleanliness. Their workers tend not to go through rigorous training, and as a result, they often fall below what you would expect in a place that’s cooking your food and taking your money.

As an example, one of our writers lives in the UK. There are many chains around him and all have 5 star hygiene ratings. However, of the 10 independent pizzerias, only 2 have 5-stars and there are 3 with 1 or 2 stars. Believe us, it takes a lot to get anything less than 3 stars. And to get 1 star you practically have to be vomiting on the pizza and serving it to the customer.

Cheaper Than Domino’s

Dominos Menu

Few pizza chains come close to Domino’s.

With all of that being said, we should point out that many independent stores are very clean, very respectable and serve great food. But the fast-food industry is a little too “Wild West” at times, and this is very evident when you begin to move away from the established names, the big chains and the upmarket locations.

When searching for a store that offers cheap, “real” food, you should look for wording that suggests they only use real cheese and toppings. You should also make sure you check the hygiene ratings and pay attention to any reviews. It’s important not to focus only on price, because there is often a reason behind it. However, there are some cheaper alternatives out there, and you can find these on the Papa Murphy’s menu, the Little Caesar’s menu and more.

How Many Slices in a Medium Pizza From Domino’s?

There are 8 slices of pizza in a large pizza from Domino’s. This is also known as the 14 inch and may be referred to by other names worldwide. How Many Slices in a Small Pizza From Domino’s?

You can expect to pay between $5 and $7 for a small pizza from the Domino’s menu. This is also known as a “personal pizza” in some countries, referring to the fact that it was designed to be eaten by a single person. Which makes us feel like a gluttonous slob for eating the extra large pizzas all by ourselves…

How Much Does Domino’s Pizza Cost?

It depends on the type and the toppings, as well as the size. You can get a lot for $10 and you can get more of the menu for just $15. This is quite cheap as far as well known pizza chains go, but you will pay less for a take n bake pizza, such as those sold at Papa Murphy’s. You may also pay less for the independent chains that tend to use cheaper ingredients.
