McDonald’s All-Day Breakfast Menu
If you’ve ever been to a 24-hour McDonalds at 3am after the club, you know that most of the time, their ice cream machine is down and that they aren’t serving breakfast. This is because most places start serving breakfast as 4:00 a.m, and other parts start serving at 5:30am.
If you’re in a larger city, you can expect your McDonalds to be open earlier and start serving breakfast earlier.
During weekdays, breakfast ends at 10:30am, generally. But if you’re not in a busy area, you can sometimes get your breakfast as late as 10:45am. Airports also have an earlier breakfast serving time; in some places, it’s noted as early as 3:00am.
McDonalds Breakfast Hours
It’s stated that 90% of McDonalds’ are open for breakfast at these specific times:
Monday – Friday: 5:00am – 10:30am
Saturday: 5:00am – 11:00am
Sunday 5:00am – 11:00am
If you live in a location without a 24-hour McDonald’s, these are the perfect times to go by. If you live by an all-night McDonald’s, you may be able to get your meals earlier than 5:00 am based on the regional manager’s choices.
24-Hour All Day Breakfast at McDonald’s?
But for those who run on a backward schedule, we have awesome news for you: McDonald’s may start serving breakfast all day. Yes, you read that right. ALL DAY. In order for the quarter pounders and Filet-O-Fish to be made, as well as the McCafe, they’ve all had to use different equipment for each item but have managed to make it work for years. This is all due to planning and production methods by engineers at McDonald’s.
“That was after Ray Kroc and the Santa Barbara operator created the Egg McMuffin. With all the resources at McDonald’s command, it’s hard to believe that they won’t be able to FIGURE IT OUT,” Klein states.
On McDonalds’ official website, their FAQ has the important question of: “Why don’t you serve breakfast all day?” and it matches up pretty well with the reports we’ve been hearing.
“Here’s the thing: it comes down to the sheer size of kitchen grills. They simply don’t have the room for all of our menu options at one time — especially considering we use our grill to prepare many items on our breakfast menu.
But we’re always looking for ways to better meet our customers’ needs. For example, many restaurants offer breakfast before 5:30am. And our McDonald’s After Midnight menu features some of our customers’ favorite breakfast and dinner menu options to mix and match to create Midnight Value Meals.” McDonald’s states.
This answer from McDonald’s may soon be changing after the small-scale testing being done in California.
After researching customer comments on McDonald’s and their breakfast hours, it also may depend on your region, how early they are open for breakfast.

Hormone free milk for your breakfast
Speaking of “McCrap”, you may want to learn that McDonald’s has been working with farmers for years to bring a new antibiotic policy to their food. This means that they want you to feel amazing and put healthy things into your body – despite what people and studies have been showing for years… This means that their farmed animals will be taken care of properly so there aren’t any illnesses or bacteria in your meat – specifically your chicken.
Soon, they will bring fat-free milk and low-fat white milk for hormone (rBST) free calcium.
“We will continue to look at our food and menu to deliver the kind of great tasting and quality choices that our customers trust and enjoy,” McDonald’s USA President Mike Andres added.
This means that your breakfast meals are becoming a lot healthier than previous years. Now, you won’t feel guilty or like crap after your night out at the club or a night of bar hopping and drinking.
Made with your health in mind
McDonald’s has been under scrutiny for years based on their choices in how they choose and make food, but they’ve been listening and now present you with healthy options. Have you ever wondered what goes into making a healthy Egg McMuffin? We’ve got the scoop for you.
The McMuffin sandwiches are made with USDA Grade A Eggs. Liquid margarine then coats the grill for you. The main ingredients include soybean oil, hydrogenated cottonseed, water, and salt. For that texture and flavor, soybean oils, soy lecithin, mono and diglycerides, artificial flavor and citric acid create that punch of flavor you love. Of course, there are Vitamin A palmitates for your vitamin supplements.
Your creamy and melting American cheese is also picked with the healthiest standards in mind. This includes milk, cream, water, cheese culture (cheese curds), cheese enzymes (the ingredient that makes milk into cheese) and salt! The texture and flavor includes natural flavoring, lactic acid, salt, citric acid and more. Soy lecithin is also used here to help prepare the slices.
For your bacon, there are very little additives as sodium phosphate and natural flavoring create that flavor of bacon we all love. The other ingredients are simply pork, water, sugar and salt. Sodium nitrate, lactate and diacetate act as the preservatives.
McDonald’s was also kind and detail-oriented enough to give the play-by-play on how they prepare their eggs for making. As mentioned, they use USDA Grade A eggs and tell us that they DO NOT add anything else to the egg.
For your scrambled eggs on the grill, they use a liquid and pasteurized whole egg. For the preservative, they use Nisin preparation. For the coloring, they use sodium acid pyrophosphate, citric acid, and monosodium phosphate. If you’re scared of these words and think they were part of your 7th-grade science project, don’t worry, sodium = salt. The monosodium phosphate is just a fancy way of saying it’s a ‘thickening agent”. You don’t want watery eggs, now do you? It’s also used in evaporated milk.
Everyone’s bodies need phosphorus to help cells grow and repair properly. It is mostly found in bones – so don’t worry, they aren’t trying to use your body for a chemistry experiment.McDonald’s Breakfast Menu Stops Serving Breakfast at 10:00am
