  • How Many Starbucks Locations in the US?

  • Where is my Nearest Starbucks Location?
  • How Many Starbucks Locations in Chicago?
  • How Many Starbucks Locations in Seattle?

Starbucks Locations

There are over 25,000 Starbucks locations around the world. These can be found in more than 75 countries, with the United States having the majority of them. This is a brand that has succeeded in many major cities around the world, including a few surprise ones.

For instance, in May 2014 it was recorded that Seoul, in South Korea, was the city with the most Starbucks locations. This was a few years ago now, but there are still many cities out there that sit very high on this list. New York City, Seattle and London are some of the biggest, but cities like Beijing and Shanghai are growing at a great rate, embracing this convenient coffee like never before.

In the US, UK and Canada, you can find several Starbucks locations in all major towns and cities. And in some US cities you can barely go half a mile in any direction without encountering at least 1 location. In fact, as we shall discover a little later on in this guide, there is one US city where you can’t go more than a quarter of a mile without bumping into the famous green and white siren.

Starbucks Drive-Thru Locations

A few years ago Starbucks announced plans to open a number of specialist locations, offering a higher quality coffee and focusing on the customers who insist on the best and are happy to pay for it. This is just one of the several different types of Starbucks store, another of which is the drive-thru.

Around 40% of all Starbucks locations are drive-thrus, allowing you to speak your order into an intercom, waiting as they brew it fresh, grab it from you window and keep on going. It’s something that many coffee connoisseurs have frowned upon, but for most of which, who consider coffee an essential part of the morning, they are life savers.

Ir’s true that coffee needs to be enjoyed and that some coffee should be drunk slowly as you savor every sip. But there is a time and a place, and savoring is the last thing on your mind when you first wake up and rush to work, or when you’re looking for a pick-me-up after spending a few too many hours on the road.

24 Hour Starbucks Locations

There are Starbucks locations that are open for 24 hours, but the vast majority of them are not. Typically, you will find a handful of these locations per major city, and they also include drive-thru locations.

There are also many that are open until the early hours and then open again for a breakfast rush. These are not 24 hour locations, but they are only actually shut for a few hours of the day, typically when business is at its slowest.

Starbucks Locations Utah

There are many Starbucks locations in Utah. The majority of these can be found in Salt Lake City, but all other major cities and towns have them as well. It’s hard to nail down an exact figure, but from what we can gather there are at least 50 and possible many more.

Starbucks Locations Chicago

There are actually more Starbucks locations in Chicago than there are in Seattle. Of course, Chicago has a population that is around 4 times greater than Seattle, and when you calculate the locations in terms of store-to-citizen ratio, Seattle comes out on top by far.

In total, there are around 150 Starbucks locations in Chicago. This city has a passion for the brand that is almost as big as the one shared by residents of the Big Apple (we’ll discover how many Starbucks locations are in NYC below).

Starbucks Locations Denver

Denver is another bit city for Starbucks locations. Not quite as big as some of the others mentioned so far, but there is roughly as many locations here as you will find in the entire state of Utah. There are also a number of Starbucks locations in Denver (and across Colorado) that serve booze. Unusual, but a great way to add a bigger kick to that caffeine loaded coffee mountain.

How Many Starbucks Are There?

There are around 25,000 Starbucks locations around the world, which makes it the largest coffee chain and one of the largest food/drink chains. Starbucks locations can be found in over 75 countries and the brand is growing all of the time. When you consider that it is left than half a century old, it’s quite impressive to see how far it has come. This means they are still someway smaller than the likes of McDonalds and Subway, but they are considerably bigger than Taco Bell and Chipotle combined.

Where is the Nearest Starbucks?

Obviously, it all depends on where you live, and this is something that we can’t really help you with. The restaurant chain can though. You can find the nearest Starbucks location by using their Store Locator search engine (https://www.starbucks.com/store-locator?features=cl&map=39.635307,-101.337891,5z). This will show you where the nearest Starbucks is once you tell it where you are based.

Because there are so many stores out there, focused in both urban and rural areas, you should find that one of the many Starbucks locations is situated near you. In fact, in our experience it’s difficult to go 50 miles in any direction without bumping into at least one of these stores, and in some cities it seems like you can’t go more than a few feet.

How Many Starbucks in Seattle?

Seattle is one of Starbucks biggest cities, which is perhaps no surprise when you consider its close connection with coffee and the fact that the chain was born here. In Seattle you are never more than a quarter of a mile from a Starbucks, and there is roughly 1 store for every 4,000 citizens.

In total, there are over 150 Starbucks in Seattle. It’s a number that is smaller than New York City and a couple other cities, but in terms of locations per square mile and per 100,000 citizens, few cities come close to Seattle.

How Many Starbucks in NYC?

There are around 300 Starbucks in the city of New York. This number is growing all of he time though, as the brand continues to expand into every town, every city and in the case of NYC, every corner.

How Many Starbucks in Manhattan?

A year ago, a study was conducted that determined there was approximately 1 location for every 5.6 blocks in Manhattan, making this one of the biggest regions for Starbucks in the world. The vast majority of the Starbucks NYC locations are here, totaling over 200 and growing all of the time.

How Many Starbucks in the US?

There are more than 13,000 Starbucks locations in the United States, but this number is growing all of the time and should surpass 15,000 by 2020. Many new locations are opened here and it is a country that is always on the radar. However, in recent years they have also focused on branching out into countries like China, where locations have exploded in number.

Starbucks don’t always succeed though. They have certainly been a success in many countries both east and west, but in Australia it’s a different story. They just haven’t taken to this brand Down Under and it really struggles, with many Aussies having nothing but contempt for the brand.

How Many Starbucks in the UK?

There are not as many Starbucks locations in the United Kingdom as there are in the United States. They are in plenty supply and you can typically find at least 1 in most major towns and cities. However, these locations are eclipsed by Costa Coffee, a chain that was born in the UK and has swept through it over the last couple decades. Between Starbucks and Costa Coffee, you’re always guaranteed a low-cost, great tasting and reliably comforting cup of coffee anywhere you are in this country.
