Starbucks Secret Menu: Candy Cane Frappuccino

Starbucks > Secret Menu > Starbucks Candy Cane Frappuccino
Starbucks always introduces holiday drinks to us – but wonder if you want one that isn’t during the holiday?

Thanks to their large selection of syrups, you’re able to order these delicious drinks year round. One of those drinks is the Candy Cane Frappuccino. Sure, seeing candy cans in bowls around every store you’re in or your workplace gives you a bit of holiday butterflies, but sometimes you just need a taste to ease your withdrawals.

Thanks to the simplicity of Starbucks and their syrups, you can order a custom Christmas drink in the middle of summer!

What’s in it?

  • Vanilla bean Frappuccino
  • Peppermint syrup (1 pump for tall, 1.5 pumps grande, 2 pumps venti)
  • Whipped cream

That’s it! It’s totally simple.

How to order:

Don’t run in their asking for a “candy cane Frappuccino”. You want to order the vanilla bean frappe and ask for pumps of peppermint. After their holiday seasons are over, they don’t have them “in stock” anymore, but you can create custom drinks, no problem, with their ingredients.

  • Vanilla bean crème Frappuccino (tall) – $3.45
  • Vanilla bean crème Frappuccino (grande) – $3.95
  • Vanilla bean crème Frappuccino (venti) – $4.45

Unfortunately, this drink is almost 1/3 of the average persons daily calories. According to MyFitnessPal, the calories are 600 per 24 fl oz. There is 15g of total and 440mg of sodium. 103g of that are carbs but there is a bright side – there is 20% Vitamin A and 50% calcium in this drink. Unless you’re planning to do this for desert after dinner, this may not be the best bet for a lunch drink with friends!

  • If you want to get totally festive, you can buy your own food coloring and turn your drink pink or red.
  • If you can find them, grab some candy canes and crush them in as well!

But we’re thinking that last tip might only come in around Christmas time – unless you know somewhere online that sells candy canes in the summer! If so, give us the scoop so we can grab our own, too.

The syrup for this drink is typically available at all locations and there are no extra prices for such. The popularity is extremely high, so you won’t be the first person to let them in on a vanilla bean frappe with peppermint syrup pumps. But if you’re looking to have that candy cane taste year round, you’re also able to buy the syrup in their online store, as well as a selection of dozens of other syrups for all kinds of inspirational drinks.

Happy holidays! Err, we mean, happy-random-day-in-summer-that-you’re-craving-peppermint!
