Is Panda Express Open on Christmas and Thanksgiving?

Panda Express, like most chains, is not open on Thanksgiving or Christmas Day, but it is open on Black Friday and on Christmas Eve. After all, the people working at these chains need to spend time with their family just as you do, so it’s only fair that they shut-up shop for the day and focus on those family bonds.

To learn whether Panda Express is open on Easter, Veteran’s Day and other key US holidays, check with our page on Restaurants Open on US Holidays.

Is Panda Express Fast Food?

Yes! In many senses of the word actually. It’s cheap, it’s cooked quickly and it’s served even quicker. It may not directly mirror chains like McDonald’s and Sonic, but make no mistake about it, Panda Express is fast food.

Panda Express Catering

What better way to feed your friends, family or associates than with food from Panda Express? Whether you are throwing a big party or a small business meeting, you can arrange for Panda Express to do catering. They have minimum requirements, but they have a range of options to help make this process easier. The full Panda Express menu is available and you can order online before picking up in person and then treating everyone to the best Chinese food in town.

They will even include all of the utensils and plates, as well as plenty of fortune cookies to complete the meal.

Does Panda Express Use Peanut Oil?

Panda Express use salad oil, but it’s worth noting that they can’t guarantee against contamination. They use all allergens in their food and have made the point of saying that these will likely be found in trace amounts in everything they served. That’s because foods are often cooked in the same wok with the same oils and sauces, as well as the fact that many base ingredients use things like peanuts or have come into contact with them.

If you have severe food allergies then you should probably give Panda Express a miss, lest you come back with a swollen face, a hospital bill and an impending lawsuit.

Does Panda Express Have Soup?

There is a hot and sour soup on the Panda Express menu, which combines flavors most commonly associated with Korean and Thai cooking. The sweet and sour is very much a Chinese thing, but the hot and sour comes from other parts of Asia. It’s different and it might be a little bizarre to the average American who isn’t used to Asian cuisine, but it’s well worth trying.

There aren’t a greta deal of other soups on the Panda Express menu simply because it’s not something that is big in Asian cuisine.

Panda Express Fundraising

Panda Express, like all good chains, are always trying to give a little back to the communities in which they operate. They arrange events to give money to schools, clubs and other organizations. If you host a fundraising event and then invite everyone to dine at Panda Express then they will donate 20% of the proceeds to your chosen charity.

There are also many other fundraising opportunities to take advantage of at Panda Express. Just visit their official Panda Express fundraising page to learn more.

Panda Express was founded by Andrew and Peggy Cherng, with part ownership from Andrew’s father. The founders’ goal was to import a bit of their culture and fuse it with American cuisine. In doing so, they created something that natives could appreciate and Americans would adore.

They were operating as an upscale, sit-down restaurant for a decade before they realized the potential of the fast food market and dove in head first. This move would prove to be hugely profitable for them and advantageous for fast food lovers nationwide.

Panda Express is the largest Chinese fast food chain in the United States and it is growing at a great rate. Between 2011 and 2014 they hit several milestones; first opening their first international location and then expanding into several other regions. But the growth is not over. Far from it. This brand is still expanding, still hitting those targets.

How Much is Panda Express?

Panda Express is often considered to be a low-rate restaurant, with a price point that is always given the lowest mark. On TripAdvisor it has 1 out of 4 with regards to price and many other sites, Yelp included, give it the same or a similar one. You can generally feast on $20 and enjoy every item on the menu for less than $10.

Those are the sort of prices you would expect at the cheapest fast food restaurants and the prices that have always made Panda Express one of the standout features on the US food landscape.

Who Owns Panda Express?

Panda Express is privately owned by the Panda Restaurant Group, Inc., They are the parent company of Panda Express and Panda Inn. They have a revenue of more than $2.5 billion and they hire more than 30,000 employees across the United States. The company was founded by Andrew Cherng and his wife.
