Hooters Restaurant

Let’s be honest, not everyone goes to Hooters for the food. This is a breastaraunt and there are plenty of…non-food related things to enjoy. However, it’s not all about ogling the waitresses and making a fool of yourself in front of women who are paid to smile and pretend you’re not creepy. There really is some great good on the Hooters menu.

The Hooters menu doesn’t get the respect it deserves because of the reputation it has. But this can be a family place, there’s no reason it shouldn’t be. There is plenty of affordable food, and it all comes in huge potions. Anyone who has dined at casual dining chains like Chili’s, Outback Steakhouse and even IHOP with their family can attest to just how expensive things can get when you’re buying a meal of several courses for each member. But with Hooters you can just order a big batch of wings, plonk them in the middle of the table and then keep everyone happy.

And if you have young boys who are begging for more food, then just point toward towards the servers walking back and forward and that’ll keep them quiet for a few hours.

Hooters Menu Favorites

Here are a few of our favorites from this menu, all of which you can see on our Hooters menu prices table above:

  • Bacon Wrapped Wings: This is easily one of the star picks of the menu. They take their naked wings, wrap them in delicious bacon, smother them in Daytona Beach sauce, and then fry them until they are crisp and delicious. This is a must.
  • Boneless Wings: Chicken bones are the only downside to chicken wings. But these take that cumbersome issue out of the equation. You choose your sauce and you enjoy this menu favorite in your own style.
  • Curly Fries: The “Which Fast Food Chain has the Best Fries?” debate has been ongoing for years and often involves McDonalds, KFC and a newer chain like Five Guys thrown in for good measure. But these fries prove that Hooters deserve to be mentioned in that debate as well. As you can see from our Hooters menu prices table, they are cheap, but they are also delicious. And curly…which somehow makes them even nicer.
  • Onion Rings: This is a side dish that can be very hit and miss. There are onion rings that are far too mushy and don’t taste anything like onion. There are onion rings where the fresh onion slops out and sticks to your chin as soon as you take a bite. But these onion rings are a perfect balance–the Goldilocks of onion rings.

Hooters Specials

Hooters Menu Prices

There are some extras on the Hooters menu prices table that you might not be familiar with, extras that are seasonal or are based on certain holidays. Some of these are launched in time for deal days like National French Fries Day or National Cheeseburger Day. Some are just launched to test the waters.

In the past, there have been a lot of seafood dishes added to the menu and they have also tried their hand at creating new recipe chicken wings. Desserts are where Hooters specials truly excel though. One of our favorites in the past have included their dessert shooters. This is a great way to get a single dose of super-sweet and super-creamy dessert.

Male Version of Hooters

Male Version of Hooters

There are many restaurants similar to Hooters out there. Known as “Breastaurants”, these include Bikini’s Bar and Grill, which is quickly gaining momentum and is on course to rival Hooters in a decade or two. But what about male versions of Hooters? Well, they do exist.

They don’t seem to be as common, and the straight men of the world are probably to blame for that. Because while straight women are not averse to eating at Hooters, even though it was clearly not designed for them, straight men are not as forgiving of restaurants where half-naked men serve them food.

So, it’s time to embrace your sexuality and let straight women have their day! For now, there are a few start-ups that can be classed as male versions of Hooters, but are not quite there yet in terms of size or profit. These include Tallywackers, which is indicative of the struggles this industry has gone through. The restaurant has struggled, opening and closing and going through many changes.

Hooters All You Can Eat Wings

Hooters All You Can Eat Wings is a special that is available at select times and on select days. As the name suggests, this basically lets you eat as many wings as you can, paying a small price for the honor. This is popular with competitive eaters, but it’s also popular with average customers looking to chow down on their favorite wings all day.

To learn more about this special just check with our Hooters Happy Hour page. Here you will find the times and the days for the Hooters All You Can Eat Wings, as well as the prices and other specifics. The good news is that this special is available in most global locations, not just those in the US. In the UK, for instance, where they only have one location (in Nottingham) it is a regular feature and can be bought for just £7.99, which is around $10.
